Our practice and learning of Buddhadharma is framed within the Marpa Kagyu or Karma Kagyu lineage, although we receive teachings from teachers of other lineages and we fully identify with the principles of the Rime movement. The Palpung Lima Chöling Buddhist Center is under the spiritual guidance of Lama Karma Chötso.

Our origin

The present 12th Tai Situpa is a Buddhist master in the Karma Kagyu tradition. He was one of the closest students of the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa and became the primary Mahamudra teacher of the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje. Situ Rinpoche oversees a vast network of Karma Kagyu monasteries, retreat centers and Dharma centers around the world, and has made great contributions through training the next generation of Buddhist masters.

Tai Situpa Rinpoche is the head of the international Palpung network to which Palpung Peru belongs.
